Sir Henry: the first 6 months
This 16 minute movie is really for family and friends, but may appeal to anyone who likes Golden Retrievers and/or has a love of puppies. When Jake, our first Retriever, died I made a movie of his life but I realised I had very little material covering those initial hilarious months and nothing at all of his family of origin.
With Henry I have set out to rectify this. Thanks to Anne of Palton Retrievers we have imagery dating back to his first days of life as one of a litter of 11 puppies. We have known him since first meeting him aged 4 weeks, when he was known as ‘Mr Blue’. He came to live with us just a month later. I can’t say the next 4 months have been easy. But there has been a lot of laughter in the house again and we have found we can love another dog. I have caught a lot of the laughter, mainly on GoPro Hero LCD but a little bit on Nikon D320 DSLR. Probably the cutest images were taken by Lesley, on her mobile. So, fasten your seatbelts and join us for 6 months worth of puppy antics, all the while the little brute grows from less than 1kg to over 25kg – and develops a personality uniquely his own…
